Introduction: We will start by greeting each other and going over the rules for class. | |
Reading Time: We will read the book “Run Remy Run” as a class. This time is for getting the kids to understand and comprehend some of the simple key words within the book. (Ex: Run, Jump, Swim, He, She, etc) | |
Fun Game Time: We will take a short break for the students to run around and have fun while playing a game that encourages them to speak English. | |
Flash Card Memory Game: We’ll play a game where two flash cards are identical and the students have to match sets of them as well as speak the name of what’s on the card to win. | |
Snack Time: We will take the students to wash their hands and then to the activity room for a light snack. | |
Scavenger Hunt: Certain objects are hidden around the school. Students have to listen and follow the instructions from their teacher to locate these objects and win the game. | |
Song Time: During this time, we will sing songs together as a class. The songs will be “Ram Sam Sam” and “Move The Circle.” These tunes will help the students to have fun while listening and building a comprehension for unique English terms within the songs. | |
Dry Ice Bubble Video: This time is to make sure that the students understand what they’ll be doing in the classroom. The video of our dry ice experiment will let the students see what we intend to do. It is important that the class understands that safety is a priority for this experiment and that listening is key. | |
Making Dry Ice Bubbles We will start by making sure that the students understand that they MUST NOT touch the dry ice at all PERIOD! After that point is made, materials and instructions will be given in order to create a worthwhile experiment. 10-Rules will be explained and put into action so that in EVERY WAY POSSIBLE mistakes are avoided. 10-Handing out gloves and materials (Cups, Cloths, Soapy Water, Bowls, [LAST] Dry Ice *by teacher only*) 10-Teacher demonstrates experiment in huge bowl as the class overlooks. 15-Class attempts their own dry ice bubbles under the watchful supervision of all teachers. 15-Discussion of experiment and reflection of the key materials, Clean up the classroom, Dismissal. |
