Lesson Plan
10 Introduction: We will start by greeting each other and going over the rules for class.
25 Learning the Key Words: The class will go over flash cards to see the meanings for the different key words. After we have practiced speaking the key words, we will play a memory game (Missing Object) to get the students to remember the words.
10 Fun Game Time: We will take a short break for the students to run around and have fun while playing a game that encourages them to speak English.
25 Speaking Key Sentences: We’ll use the key words to make and practice sentences that the students will have to use later to buy things in the Marketplace.
EX: I want to buy an Apple, How much is the Banana?, I like to eat the candy, I don’t want to buy vegetables.
15 Snack Time: We will take the students to wash their hands and then to the activity room for a light snack.
15 Song Time: As a class, we’ll perform the song “Move the Circle.” This is a great exercise to get the students moving and speaking. After this, we will play a round of “Musical Chairs.”
10 Marketplace Video: I will use this time so show the students a video of what the shopping experience is like within a Market and a Supermarket. We’ll go over the different things we see in the video and practice speaking about them.
10 Fun Game Time: We will take a short break for the students to run around and have fun while playing a game that encourages them to speak English.
